The new front end increased the length and rake of the bike without raising the front end or compromising the trail. I spent a lot of time in Autocad figuring out the specs on this. This AME triple tree assembly actually increases your steering head rake by 9 degrees and then adds 5 more degrees in the trees resulting in a trail number of about 4". (Lowering the rear end had already increased my factory rake by at least 1 or 2 degrees, depending on the actual weight on the new progressive rear spring..) The bike, other then being noticeably longer, handles quite nice.
