Noelski (yes, that's his entire name
apparently) truly builds what this site is all about - custom motorcycles.
Yes, everyone listed on this site builds custom bikes but when you analyze
what the term "custom motorcycle" really means: a unique, one of a kind product,
you will have to agree that Defiant Studios really fits the bill. Want to see
how true custom is put together? Visit the gallery and watch how it's done.
Noelski is a serious builder about to be featured in American Iron and already
featured in Hot Bike. Until a few days ago, I never heard of the guy. Just more
proof that there are some truly amazing bike builders out there who don't happen
to be on TV.

Demon Choppers Of Colorado -
Colorado Springs, CO
"this shop builds and paints bad ass
bikes and custom cars...." That's how they describe themselves. I believe I can
add to that. Originally started as a small service and custom paint shop, Demon
Choppers now build full ground up choppers and specializes in Big Bear Chopper
builds.

Demon's Cycle -
Can't say I approve of the name or logo but
Demon's Cycle has all the bases covered business wise. Website is actually an
online parts store mostly but there are enough Custom Motorcycle photos of
Demon's work and motorcycles for sale to get them listed multiple places here on this
site. I love the radical bobber style rear ends on the traditional chopper
styled front. Very cool motorcycles.

Denver's Choppers -
Mondo Parros picked up right where Denver Mullins left off. Rather than go
off and try and become a legend himself (something he did anyway) Mondo instead
chose to keep the Denver Choppers style alive. That style: "looonnng"
front ends is an all but recognized trademark of Denver's Choppers. The
"Godfather of Choppers" still paying homage to his long time partner.

Departure Cycle Works -
Richmond, Va
These guys were building motorcycles back
when the term "custom motorcycle" didn't even exist. Started in 1973 by Lee
Clemens and the late Richie Smith and still going strong today. Originally just
modifying Harleys they now of course do complete ground up builds cutting and
welding and all that jazz in house. Very creative motorcycle projects a lot of which
people who just buy motorcycles to look cool won't get. These are motorcycles built for true
bikers. Very performance oriented.

Detroit Bros -
I can spot a Detroit Bros motorcycle a block away. Think "Mad Max/Drop
Seat/Bobber". I mean really, these guys have done something that is getting
harder and harder to do in the custom motorcycle industry. They've managed to create
an original style motorcycle you can actually ride.
Website
Donnie Smith Customs -
Donnie Smith gets the privilege of being listed 2
places on this site, once for Custom Harleys, and once for ground-up
custom motorcycles. Donnie's ground-up builds are truly custom and he does a lot of
very nice Harley modifications. I have trouble defining Donnie's style: if you
look at his Harley Customs they're pretty radical and well executed, but if
you're looking at his built from scratch custom motorcycles, well they're pretty
run of the mill, but well done. Best thing would be for you to decide for
yourself.

Dutch's Custom Cycles -
High end American V-twin customs. Featured in V-twin magazine and on Chopper
Challenge, motorcycles are a mixture of a little bit of everything but standout's
include some long and low customs. Quite a few customs for sale on site during my
visit. Would like to have seen more info on motorcycles in gallery as they looked very
impressive.
