Ok. First thing I notice on the
website is the baddest M109R I've ever seen. One cool custom Suzuki! It just
gets better after that. This shop has a very unique flair for customizing metric
motorcycles. Adept at tricking out new as well as vintage metric customs.
We build custom ground up old
school motorcycles. We specialize in British and American V-Twins. Cochise
County Choppers has been building bikes for 25+ years. We have a full parts
sourcing, accessories, full service, and if we don't have it, we can get it. We
have a great custom painter, and fabricator. Go check out our website, and if
you need something, or just need some advice, give us a call, or e-mail us.
Apparently part motorcycle builders, part modeling
agency? Regardless, some of the wildest Metric customs you'll ever see. Very
colorful, these motorcycles will not go unnoticed at your local motorcycle night or rally
stop. Unfortunately these 'World Champions" don't give much more info on the
website about their motorcycle building process beyond the many photos so you'll have
to contact them yourself.
Jeff Palhegyi works as a contract designer for Yamaha. In other words, he
takes their brand new Star motorcycles, customizes them and then Yamaha uses his ideas
in new production models as well as in their aftermarket customizing parts. I
would have to say that I think the Yamaha V-Star 1300 has Palhegyi written all over it.
Todd Anglani builds some of the most radical Metric customs to be found
anywhere. His custom Yamaha Roadstars, V- Stars, VTXs and Shadows are like no
others. Also makes and sells his own frames. which are long and low.
Barron may have invented the Metric custom market, but Sam Nehme is without a
doubt the reigning king of metric builders. His radical innovations have allowed
metric customs to finally be taken seriously. His work on Yamaha motorcycles is second
to none. He recently took a motorcycle that I really thought wasn't worth customizing,
the Yamaha V-star 1300, and created a masterpiece out of it.
I first saw these guys motorcycle in an issue of V-twin magazine. The fact that
they can actually build you a a real custom metric motorcycle for under $20,000 blows
me away. Simply amazing.
There will be no debate on this: these guys build
the baddest Custom Yamaha V-stars, Roadstars, and Roadstar Warriors on the
planet. Not limited to the Yamaha line up the also do some nice work on a
Kawasaki Vulcan. If you've got Yamaha you're planning to customize be sure and
visit these guys and see how to do it right.
Highlander Custom Cycles and Acrotech Performance Cycles have merged together
to form Boondock Customs. These guys build some radical custom Metric
motorcycles but
are just as glad to work on your American motorcycle also.
Rebuilding older metrics and turning them into
affordable customs. Offering hand tooled leather seat also. Nothing radical,
just bikes for the everyday rider.
As someone who has an XS400 project in the works
I'm really hooked on
the Classic XS650 builds that these guys do. In addition to the extreme XS650
customs they also do some sweet work on the Honda Shadow and VTXs. Ardcore also
does custom frames for any engine starting at just $900.00. I really like the
motorcycles and these guys look to be the leaders in the xs650 bobber/chopper craze. You have to check out at least one
motorcycle called "Get Bent".
Really unique build.
Ben Taylor specializes in Metric Custom work,
some of the motorcycles are run of the mill metric customs while others are over the
top super creative builds. Ben says that for many of his customers Insight is
their last hope as these guys never say "it can't be done". I personally would love to see bigger pictures of the
motorcycles. Shame to have motorcycles this nice and not be able to see them better. Custom
paint, seats, and bars. If the quick response to an email from me is any
indication I would say you'll have no issues with customer service.
Another custom motorcycle builder proving that metric
customs, especially ones based on the Yamaha Roadstar are here to stay. They
also offer some kits for the Roadstar and V-Star line up including a pretty
sharp Roadstar Bobber kit. Some of the motorcycles look really good and many are show
winners.
One off custom metric choppers and
full blown custom sport motorcycles. Very young shop, very radical builds. Visit their
myspace page for
some great photos of their work. I see a lot of potential here, let's see where
they take it.
A custom bikeshop in Mid-Coast
Maine. Building on all platforms: American, Japanese, Italian and
German.,Choppers, Bobbers, Cafe's, Brat Bikes,Trackers and Hot Rod Bikes.

Giovanni is known for his urban style on any type, make or model motorcycle. He

Power, if these are what your looking for Blacksmith is the brand you want to

These guys have had no less than 3 of their
motorcycles
featured in Yamaha's Star Calendar. The "Out For Blood" V-star, the "Purple
Haze" V-star and the "Da Horse, with No Name" Roadstar. They carry a full line
of custom parts, same as they've used on their builds. Definitely one of the
best Custom V-star builders around. (These are not the calendar motorcycles. Visit
the site to check them out.)
Even though they operate day to day as a licensed dealer, Britt Motorsports
is also one of the world's most known Metric custom motorcycle builders. Since
all Britt's signature customs start as brand new Yamaha and Kawasaki factory
motorcycles they are also
covered under the original factory warranty. How's that for a guarantee of
satisfaction? Don't want a brand new motorcycles, Britt will customize your ride to
your specs or just sell you the parts to do your own.

out of all kinds of late model metrics including: Yamaha V-Star's, Yamaha Road
Star, Suzuki Boulevard C50, Honda Shadow, etc. We like the badass look of a
completely blacked out bike. We specialized in building affordable custom

Bryan Hagan's motto is "Your
Motorcycle Only Better" and claims to be able to do
anything you can think of. Website features pictures of some pretty nice
builds. They claim to have done the first customized Honda Rune and to have the
first Honda VTX on the cover of Roadbike. The motorcycles are pretty radical.
Motorcycles by Morton's have graced numerous issues of V-twin magazine and it's no
wonder. Don't let their website fool you these are serious custom motorcycle builders
who are obviously more into their work than their website. If you're in the
North Carolina area and need a custom Metric build you owe it to yourself to
give these guys a call.
During our 11 years of business,
we've been featured in V-Twin, Road Motorcycle, Motorcycle Cruiser, Rider, Woman
Rider, Full Throttle, Insider, & Motorcyclers 2000. One of the walls in our shop is
covered by magazine pieces from our work, Additionally, some of the over 700
products we manufacture also been, used on top customized motorcycles featured
in magazines and found on award winning motorcycles at motorcycle shows around the
world. As an example, our driveline components were featured on the 'Green
Bobber' by AFT Customs, which won the 'Best Metric Custom in the World' award at
the 2005 World Championship of Custom Motorcycle Building in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We have a full custom metal fab shop, paint shop, manual & CNC manufacturing
shops, and service department.
Jason Conley builds custom metric
motorcycles in a world still dominated by Harleys. A lot of his work is centered
around Yamaha's Star lineup with some impressive Roadstar and V-star builds.
While Jason has fabricated his own line of parts it seems he now has secluded
himself in a closed shop to get back to just building motorcycles. Who can blame him?
Isn't that what it's all about anyway? definitely some of the best work on stock
metrics. Most of these builds are so well done that only a real metric guy would
recognize the base model.
A clean line, a sexy stance,
Horsepower you can hear and feel., IF your bike is truly a custom, there isn't
another like it. I hand Make Motorcycles and Motorcycle parts. From Rigid Frame
KZ & CB Choppers to Metric Revolution M109's, V-Stars & VTX's to Handmade
Sportbikes to American Customs to Pro-Street v-twins. What I love is what I make
for your machine one at a time. Chrome packages, powder-coating, custom paint &
air-brushing, plasma cut parts and hand rolled TIG welded tanks, fenders and
frames. I truly understand performance, from turbo-charging to chassis mods.
Magazine Feature Show-bike construction with details like no other shop can
offer. I love what I do.
Specializing in high performance Suzuki cruisers
and sportmotorcycles. Very nice and original paintwork. I wouldn't hesitate for a
minute to have these guys paint my motorcycle based on the work shown on their
website. And the prices are right.
Jaxon Fyffe is hard to pigeon hole as he builds
both Metric and Harley parts and custom motorcycles, but is best known so far for his
Metric builds. His motorcycles have graced magazines like V-twin numerous times which
has landed him numerous custom parts requests I'm sure. If you're looking for
info on his motorcycles, however, you're more likely to find it in one of those
magazines than on his website.
Tommy Graves went to instant
celebrity status when he won the amateur division of the Metric Revolution
Build-Off on ESPN in 2007. His motorcycle "Smackdown" is easily on the most radical
metric builds I've ever seen. You can visit Tommy's official website but you
won't find much info there. I suggest you track down his MySpace page instead.
Virginia Washington - Custom Metric Motorcycle Builders
Pacific Coast Star -
Spokane, WA
Best known for their "Potato Chip" seat for
Yamaha V-stars PCS
has become better known for their innovative parts than their motorcycle builds.
That's a shame because they have done some tremendous work customizing
Yamaha V-stars. Definitely a driving force in making the Yamaha V-Star a
motorcycle people want to buy and customize.
